We do so by providing compassionate, personalized and expert care from staff who think of our community members as members of our families. Meet the staff members at Rowntree Gardens, many of whom have been with us for 20, 30 and even 40 years. Loyal, dedicated and experienced, our staff is here to make sure your needs are being met with a friendly smile and knowledgeable service. Randy Brown
While leading the vision for Rowntree Gardens’ future growth, Randy is committed to upholding our original mission and Christian values: To enhance the quality of life and meet the changing needs of people through all seasons of life with compassion, devotion and guidance from God. A seasoned executive, Randy prefers to spend his time walking through our community and talking with people. He is proud of the family atmosphere and culture of compassion the staff have created. In his free time, Randy enjoys, woodworking, hiking and walks with his wife of 30 years.

Glenda Jacobs
Glenda joined the Rowntree Gardens family in 2005 as a food server. In that time, her genuine love and respect for the community members she serves has continued to grow along with her responsibilities. Currently, Glenda oversees the daily operations of the administrative office as well as the community activities department. She recognizes the strength and wisdom of the people who call Rowntree Gardens home, and enjoys learning from their life experiences. A certified administrative assistant, Glenda holds a RCFE Administrator’s License and is completing her B.S. in Business. She finds inspiration from her family, including her two-year-old son, as well as the Rowntree community.

Randy Wayamori
A member of the Rowntree Garden’s family for over ten years, Randy oversees community member services and assists at our Heartwood Chapel. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and is a certified Residential Care for the Elderly Administrator. He believes that what sets Rowntree Gardens apart is the staff’s heartfelt and genuine care for our community members. In addition to the delicious food we serve here at Rowntree Gardens, Randy enjoys the joy and laughter shared by the staff and community members.

Terry Martinez
Terry has been with Rowntree Gardens for 16 years. She oversees community services for our Acacia Independent and The Cedars Assisted Living areas, and is committed to the safety and well-being of our community members. With over 20 years experience working with seniors, Terry is a Certified Residential Care for the Elderly Administrator. She is extremely proud of the staff at Rowntree Gardens, who look at their work here not as a job but as a higher calling.

Elmwood Care Center Skilled Nursing Administrator

Jo-c de la Cruz
As the Administrator of our Medicare-certified Elmwood Care Center skilled nursing facility, Jo-c oversees the day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as provides high quality care. Under her leadership, our skilled nursing services have succeeded in securing a 5-star rating from Medicare. Jo-c offers 25 years of healthcare and skilled nursing experience, and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator as well as a certified Preceptor for Administrators-in-Training. She is especially proud of her team and their compassion for our community members.

New Leaf Rehab Director

Katie Lee
As the Director of Rowntree Gardens’ New Leaf Rehab Agency, Katie ensures her team provides the highest quality therapy individualized to each person’s needs. Her goal is to help each person reach his or her full potential. A licensed occupational therapist, Katie received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from University of Southern California. Since joining Rowntree Gardens, Katie has come to value the supportive, family-like environment where staff, community members and family members work together to create a special and welcoming place. She appreciates having a devoted and talented team to work with at New Leaf. When not with her extended Rowntree Gardens family, Katie enjoys spending time with her immediate family and traveling.
Chaplain  Norval Hadley

Norval Hadley
Norval has been providing spiritual services, programs and fellowship at Rowntree Gardens since 2002. As our on-site chaplain, Norval plans and conducts services in our beautiful Heartwood Chapel. Norval’s care for our community members extends beyond the chapel as well. He leads weekly bible study groups and prayer meetings in our community, and frequently visits with community members in their homes and rooms. A recorded minister in the Friends Church, Norval has a master’s of divinity. His calling has taken him to 75 countries around the world, but he considers Rowntree Gardens his home.
Transition Liason  Roz George

Transition Liason

Roz George
Roz joined our family over seven years ago as the front desk receptionist. Today, she works closely with our new community members and families, introducing them to the wide range of services, amenities and activities available to help them feel at home. During their first few weeks and months at Rowntree Gardens, she makes sure all their questions are answered and their needs are being met. She also helps our community members transition to different levels of care. An avid gardener, she enjoys the beautiful grounds of our community and stopping to chat with the people she encounters.
Food Services Director  Claudia Acosta

Food Services Director

Claudia Acosta
Claudia joined Rowntree Gardens 17 years ago. In that time, she rose from food server to Food Service Director responsible for our dietary department. In that role, Claudia plans and manages Rowntree Garden’s dietary budget, oversees catering events, and hires and manages all food service personnel. Under her direction, our food service staff has received high marks from our community members for the quality of our food and the service of our people. Claudia has an associate degree in Food Service Management, is a Certified Dietary Manager, and is ServeSafe certified.
Marketing Director  Zina Quigley

Marketing Director

Zina Quigley
Zina joined the Rowntree Gardens family in 1996. As our Director of Marketing, she develops and implements marketing and sales strategies that connect more people and families to the services and care available at Rowntree Gardens. A familiar face around our community, Zina is always available to answer questions, give a personally guided tour, ask how somone is feeling, and find out what she can do to brighten a day. She loves being part of our special community, and working with a staff that is dedicated to providing the highest level of care. She takes strength from her faith, and from her son who is also her biggest source of pride.
