About Us
We put our hearts into creating your home.
Founded in 1965, Rowntree Gardens — a Quaker Gardens senior living community — is one of the area’s few licensed, faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) that provides a full range of integrated onsite services to meet the changing needs of people as they age. Rowntree Gardens operates as a nonprofit community, which means our only responsibility is to our community members and their families — not to shareholders. As a nonprofit community, we are focused on providing the highest quality of compassionate care — not on growing our profits. Any profits we do make are reinvested into improving our community and the services we offer.
We call it our continuum of care, and it ensures that you and your loved one continue to have convenient and affordable access to the full range of services that promote physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing throughout all the seasons of life. Available within one welcoming, compassionate community, these complete services include Acacia Independent Living, The Cedars Assisted Living, access to our Elmwood Care Center offering short- and long-term skilled nursing and our New Leaf Agency therapy services, as well as Gardens Memory Care.
New name, renewed commitment.
For 50 years, we have been serving the needs of our community members and their families as Quaker Gardens. We are very proud of our heritage, and all the Quaker Gardens name embodies. In 2014, after long and careful consideration we made the decision to change our name from Quaker Gardens to Rowntree Gardens.
Our new name reflects our renewed commitment to provide the highest level of modern care to everyone who walks through our doors, for the next 50 years and beyond. As Rowntree Gardens, we will continue to honor our roots and our original commitment to create a caring, loving and comfortable home for people as they age, regardless what their individual needs may be.
