With her Shirley Temple curls and her beautiful voice, Peggy was a natural performer from an early age. She spent her childhood in Detroit, singing for radio and live audiences in Detroit’s historic Capital Theatre, as well as for soldiers as part of the United Service Organization (USO). When Peggy’s father passed away, she retired from the stage at the young age of 17 to find work and help her mother make ends meet.
After moving to Rowntree Gardens with her husband in 2015, Peggy joined the community choir. While rediscovering her voice, she’s also discovered a community of friends who share her love for music and fellowship.
