For Jim and Betty Rose, it was love at first dance. They’ve been dancing together ever since. A former Navy baseball player and college baseball coach, Jim has been active his whole life. After retiring, he started competing and winning in racquetball tournaments around the world, including the Senior Olympics.

Jim’s wife Betty shares his love of movement. A dance professor and choreographer, Betty joined her husband on the racquetball court, and like Jim, won gold at the Senior Olympics. Even after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s, Betty hasn’t slowed down. Now she and Jim are living active, engaged lives as part of Rowntree Gardens’ thriving Independent Community.
