We have an opening for an LVN Charge Nurse to join The Cedars Assisted Living.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs community member assessments routinely and as conditions warrant. Inform doctors, family member(s) and appropriate RG manager(s) of any changes of condition.
- Ensures the timely exchange of essential information-both verbally and in writing-for the provision of quality residents' care (Including, but not limited to documentation of doctor's orders).
- Helps develop, implement, and evaluate care plans which include, but are not limited to physical, mental and emotional, spiritual and functional factors.
- Monitors levels of care, continually assessing resident care needs, making adjustments and interventions as appropriate.
- Initiates emergency measures according to facility policy and within standards of nursing practice.
- Prepares records accurately, maintains them in a timely fashion, with confidentiality maintained at all times.
- Reviews daily community members report and assignments with Caregivers on their assigned stations. Meets with assigned staff to provide input and receive feedback on progress toward assigned responsibilities.
- Makes changes in assignments as needed and provides patient-care assistance to staff when necessary.
- Implements department policies and procedures as established by Administrator of Residential Care, Staff Education Coordinator, and Director of Memory Care Center.
- Organizes, directs and supervises all department functions and personnel in: scheduling hours, assigning duties and instructing personnel.
- Assist and encourages staff to continually develop job-related abilities and strengthen overall department in their efforts to serve the community members.
- Attends staff meetings and department Safety meetings to keep abreast of overall needs within the community and the department.
- Actively promotes a culture of safety in workplace practices, and guides department staff in continually focusing on safety.
- Part-time NOC Shift 10pm-6am
- Monday-Wednesday
- 4 or more years of experience in long term care or related field preferred
- Requires strong abilities in generating oral and written instruction
- Ability to keep a mature composure in stressful situations and be able to deal effectively with the demands of the position
- Remain flexible to meet the changing needs of the facility, its staff, and operations
