We have an opening for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Facility Services Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads Housekeeping and Laundry Staff. Assigns and inspects work to ensure that standards of cleanliness are met.
  • Ensures that housekeeping and laundry operations run efficiently.
  • Coordinates with renovation staff for special projects as assigned by the Facility Services Director.
  • Collaborates with Maintenance department for projects and routine work orders.
  • Serves as the liaison for community members for housekeeping and laundry concerns.
  • Collaborates to distribute, track, and close work orders.
  • Conducts inspections for quality control, safety, and efficiency.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors.
  • Responsible for hiring and providing department orientation and training for new personnel.
  • Tracks, evaluates, and conducts coaching of staff as directed by Human Resources.
  • Responsible for issuing fair and equitable disciplinary actions for immediate staff.
  • Determine staffing needs in conjunction with Administration guidelines and approval; interview and select prospective personnel for available positions.
  • Attends Department Head meetings and/or Department Safety meetings as to keep abreast of overall needs within the community and the department.
POSITION PURPOSE: To supervise all functions of laundry and housekeeping operations across the campus including Assisted Living, Independent Living, Gardens Memory Care and Elmwood Care Center Skilled Nursing. The role ensures a clean, safe and welcoming environment for community members, family members, visitors and staff. The supervisor collaborates with the Facility Services Director, to support projects, quality assurance and regulatory compliance. JOB SPECIFICATION: 
  • Full-time Hourly Position
      • Days needed: Monday-Friday -Hours: 6:30am -3:30pm **weekends if necessary**
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • Housekeeping, custodial, and cleaning experience required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
  • Ability to organize and schedule routines and projects to be completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Skills in operating and maintaining housekeeping equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of solutions, chemicals, and pertinent cleaning supplies
  • Ability to fill out forms and keep accurate records
  • Must possess excellent leadership skills and be a team player
