We are hiring a Full-time, exempt Controller to join our Administration Team. Position Summary The Controller oversees all financial operations of the senior living community, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing budgets, and supporting leadership with accurate financial insights. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health and sustainability of the organization while supporting its mission to provide quality care to residents. Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, monitor variances, and provide financial forecasts to support operational planning.
  • Resident Billing & Revenue Cycle: Oversee billing processes for residents, including private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare financial regulations, including cost reporting and audits.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise accounting staff and collaborate with department heads to support financial literacy and accountability.
  • Cash Flow & Capital Planning: Monitor cash flow, manage capital expenditures, and support long-term financial planning for facility upgrades and expansion.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Full-Time - Exempt Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing, cost reporting, and healthcare compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting and billing software (PointClickCare, QuickBooks).
  • Experience with payroll systems and labor law compliance.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
