Making Sure Your Care Is Covered
If you’re considering a senior living community with buy-in contracts, you might wonder why it’s necessary, especially if you have health insurance and Medicare. Many assume that their health care insurance and Medicare will cover their long-term care costs, including assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. In reality, healthcare insurance doesn’t cover any long-term care. What’s more, healthcare insurance, including Medicare, does not cover housing. Many offer no or very limited coverage on levels of care.
