We are looking for a Health & Wellness Clinic Director for our Cedars Department that will fit the Rowntree Gardens Community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for evaluating all nursing operations of the Assisted Living department to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
  • Actively involved (hands-on) in nursing care and services towards community members.
  • Performs and monitors levels of care assessment.
  • Coordinates new community members with detailed orientation to nursing services.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates recognition of spiritual, emotional, psychological, and functional needs.
  • Initiates procedures to protect community member from injury and infection.
  • Assures continued assessment of the community members’ care needs, development and implementation of corresponding service plans.
  • Assures all community member records are prepared accurately and kept confidential.
  • Responds to community members’ concerns and complaints in a timely manner, in coordination with Administrator of Residential Care.
  • Oversees, participates, and/or performs essential functions to ensure compliance with quality assurance program.
  • Treats staff equitably, promotes a safe and harmonious workplace and works to reduce staff injuries.
  • Assigns staff to community member care needs and changes assignments when necessary.
  • Provides department orientation and training for new personnel.
  • Responsible for issuing fair and equitable disciplinary actions for immediate staff.
  • Responsible for effective time management of all staff and approval of immediate staff’s time sheet.
  • Shall attend mandatory in-service training and be aware of changes in health and safety regulations, changes in employee policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Attends department head meetings, Administrative meetings, Community Members Advisory Meetings, and/or Department Safety meetings to keep abreast of overall needs within the community and department.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Full-time Salary Position
    • Must be flexible and available weekdays and weekends
    • Work shall remain flexible to meet the needs of the facility, its staff, operations, and community/industrial involvement.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • 5 years of experience in a Supervisory role
  • Current RCFE Administrator license
  • Experience in long term care or related field is preferred
  • Must possess as a minimum a LVN license
  • Knowledgeable in the development and use of service plans, medication management systems, infection control practices, fire and life safety, resident rights, and behavior management and documentation practices.
  • Possess the ability to read and understand written and oral communication
Due to California State regulations, we are required to have all our applicants pass a Background Check, Physical, and TB test.
